Creative Companions

Cindy and Patti were recently matched through our Creative Aging program as Creative Companion and program participant.  They had contacted CVCOA separately around the same time and it turned out they had known each other previously but hadn't been in contact for years.  They both expressed happiness to have been so well matched as they have discovered they have many of the same interests.

"We keep inspiring each other, and that's the wonderful thing about it," says Cindy.  For their creative endeavor they are currently working on diamond painting. Though they both have a love of the arts and experience with different mediums (murals and glasswork for example), their interests extend well beyond to things such as health food stores and the natural world and they have been enjoying just "being themselves".  They have lots of plans for the future, including learning how to process nettles.  

Both women commented on how lovely it is that their friendship has blossomed at this particular time of life changes where Patti recently retired and Cindy just turned 70, and they look forward to many shared experiences to come.
