Grey Muzzle Grant Gives Senior Dogs at CVCOA a Second Chance
CVCOA was recently chosen to receive a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization to help local senior dogs and the people who love them.
Holly Thompson, CVCOA Wellness Coordinator said, “Animal companions are vital to fighting the isolation and loneliness that many older adults experience. Pets provide companionship, love and purpose. For some people, their pet is the only other living creature they connect with in the day.”
“This grant will help us give senior dogs like 12-year-old Cooper (see photo) the veterinary and dental care he needs to be happy and healthy at home with his family,” said Deb Glottmann, president of The Mitzvah Fund, CVCOA’s veterinary care partner.
